Some folks known as out Jack for attending the Donald Trump-endorsed occasion as contradictory to the anti-war message that his late father Ozzy Osbourne sang about within the Black Sabbath traditional “Warfare Pigs.”
Jack Osbourne mentioned in a video posted to his YouTube channel:
“All proper, I wish to deal with me going to the White Home, to the UFC struggle. To start with, among the feedback I’ve been getting are utterly insane, and like, what the fuck? I went to a sporting occasion, that’s it. I didn’t go and throw my hat within the ring for political workplace. I wasn’t there going to endorse a politician, or some sort of, , international affairs concern. Nothing. I actually went to the White Home to go see UFC.
I’ve been into fight sports activities my complete life. I began doing taekwondo at six, I used to go to Thailand yearly in my late teenagers, early 20s to do Muay Thai. I’ve fought in Muay Thai fights professionally. In my 30s, I began doing jiu jitsu. I’ve additionally attended UFC and Pleasure fights going again to the early 2000s. It’s one thing that has been part of my life since I can bear in mind. So once I received invited by Dana White to attend the struggle on the White Home, after all, I’d go. Any individual on the market who would get an invitation would have gone.
I’m sorry, there was nobody I might consider that will have been like, no, I’m not doing that, as a result of I don’t approve of, , orange man, or no matter, the fuck, it’s ridiculous. It was not a political occasion, or in my eyes, it was not. It was a fucking struggle on the White Home. Who provides a shit? And actually, once I was there with my spouse, I regarded over at one level, and I used to be like, ‘Hey, why aren’t… why does this not occur extra typically?’ It could be wonderful to have sporting occasions on the White Home.
In actual fact, there are politicians again within the day that did used to do this, so simply meals for thought. And so far as the folks bringing my father into this, saying, ‘Oh, Ozzy wouldn’t approve,’ he’s ‘rolling over in his grave’, shut the fuck up. You didn’t know my father, you didn’t know the place he stood with issues. Sure, he wrote a track known as ‘Warfare Pigs‘, certain, anti-war track. He was an anti-UFC, he wasn’t anti going to an occasion on the White Home, he was anti-war. Certain, truthful sufficient.
However on the finish of the day, my dad nonetheless attended the correspondents — the press dinner — again within the day when Bush was president, George Bush gave him a shout out…. Moreover, my dad did USO excursions. He went to Korea to see the troops. He attended occasions at Walter Reed Hospital to see the wounded troopers and Marines, and , Air Power pilots. So, shut the fuck up, principally.
Wish to convey my father into this to say he would or wouldn’t approve is totally insane. I merely attended a sporting occasion for a sport that I’ve a large amount of respect for, and one thing that’s been part of my life since I can bear in mind. So, take care of it. I’m sorry you weren’t invited.”
