The Odyssey’s multicity press run was not a contest to see who may costume the perfect. That being stated, if it have been a contest, it could be becoming that Zendaya arrived finally evening’s New York premiere in a robe that remembers Nike, the winged goddess of victory. Nobody else actually does on-theme dressing like her.
Zendaya wore a robe from French model Matières Fécales (that’s “Fecal Matter” en français) to Tuesday evening’s premiere. That includes a plunging neckline and pair of feather wings, the actress and her stylist, Regulation Roach, have been clearly feeling the Greek goddess vibe. (Zendaya performs Athena within the film.)
In an Instagram caption, the designers behind the costume, Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran, shared that this look has been within the works for Zendaya for years. “Regulation requested us to avoid wasting this costume for Z nearly 2 years in the past because it was our first couture finale look,” they wrote. “We stored our promise and turned down so many nice requests however knew this was the fitting match for such an vital creation in our archive. This second is so particular and we’re so grateful to be a part of Regulation and Zendaya’s fearless imaginative and prescient and legacy.”
Zendaya accessorized with a pair of heelless Christian Louboutins (designed in collaboration with Matières Fécales) and Chopard jewellery. Maybe most notably, although, is the truth that Zendaya is taking part in no-mascara summer time. You heard it right here first: Lashes are out; wings are in.
