The key Sacha Baron Cohen Ali G film has been titled, now generally known as Ali G: Who Iz I, and it’s being launched by Amazon MGM Studios in theaters on Oct. 23.
The film reps a reteam for the 3x Oscar nominated Cohen and Amazon MGM Studios who dealt with his Borat sequel throughout Covid, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, which was launched on Prime in October 2020 when cinemas have been largely shuttered. That pic, which noticed Cohen’s Kazakh character Borat actually fooling former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, landed two Oscars for Greatest Tailored Screenplay and Greatest Supporting Actress for Bulgarian actress Maria Baklava.
