Now firmly out of limbo, first single “Dwelling/Ending” reveals that Godflesh’s oppressive industrial-metal lurch solely will get higher with time.
The steel-driving mechano-beat hits hypnotically, whereas Ben Inexperienced’s bass thrum is a cavern-rattling groove. Justin Ok. Broadrick delivers exposed-nerve growls and psyche-drilling guitar dissonance. Drink it all the way down to the final drop.

It was thrilling sufficient when Ghostemane hopped on a hardcore minimize with XCOMM earlier within the yr, however now the cult rapper has shot again together with his first solo monitor in 5 years. And as he places it in a verse, he’s about to “break the necks” of anybody that will get in his means.
Above piledriving beats and a bruised-peach smack of Korn-esque seven-string sounds, Ghostemane flips from deathly whispers to antagonistic screams. Whereas many of us are simply “screamin’ fuck this and fuck that,” he’s a person of motion — and by all accounts he’s utilizing “Zero Day” to place the naysayers in traction.

Mastodon – “Within the Ruins”
Mastodon start “Within the Ruins” in a reflective, still-of-the-morning temper, considering the state of issues following a severe catastrophe — the track partly impressed by how bassist Troy Sanders and his household had been displaced from their house following 2024’s devastating Hurricane Helene, in addition to the 2025 dying of founding guitarist Brent Hinds.
It begins with delicate however supple guitar harmonies and a soft-prog shuffle, however Mastodon energy into an explosive back-end of thunder-quaked beats and screeching leads that don’t fairly search to push previous the ache, however slightly adapt to a brand new actuality (“We don’t recover from this/Can we develop round?”).
Totally weak, at instances raging, their rebuild interval continues to impress.
