Get your ’90s West Coast G-Funk playlist queued up as a result of the Snowfall spinoff sequence The Drop: A Snowfall Saga is hitting FX and Hulu on September eighth! The Drop follows Gail Bean’s Wanda Bell and Isaiah John’s Leon Simmons, two Snowfall fan favorites, as they take West Coast rap to the mainstream towards a backdrop of gang conflict chaos and shady report label politics, and judging by the brand new trailer, showrunner Malcolm Spellman and the Snowfall group captured the period to a tee.
As an Angeleno, I can inform you that from what the trailer reveals, they’ve nailed the vibe and really feel of the Southland and the fascinating cross-section of gangster tradition and ’90s hip-hop. The Drop is promising an abundance of partying, tricked-out low-rider pictures, and an entire lot of chaos this season, all underneath the nice and cozy golden gentle of Los Angeles. Frankly, the trailer is making the entire thing look fairly rattling nice, and we had been already fairly hyped to start with.
Take a look at the trailer right here. The Drop: A Snowfall Saga premieres Tuesday, September eighth at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT on FX and Hulu, with the eight-episode season rolling out one episode every week on Tuesday nights.
